Happy Sunday, beauties! Today I am taking you to one of my favorite areas in Düsseldorf - the Carlsplatz. Six days a week you will find the freshest vegetables, fruits and flowers as well as finest cheese, meat, fish, pastries and lots more there. The Carlsplatz is located south of the oldtown and starting point to the Carlstadt with its lovely townhouses, small boutiques and cute restaurants.
It's a really cool date idea to go to the Carlsplatz with your crush, I think, and pick out vegetables, meat or whatever you like, make up a recipe with it and cook together.
That day I wore a look by Marc Cain that could be styled very chic but I decided to dress it down by wearing my beloved slip-ons. It has something very French to me as I would imagine French women to be dressed very classy even when they are only going to the market. In France people tend to appreciate good quality food more than in Germany, too, I would say. In Germany for a lot of people eating has become a matter of satisfying their hunger just taking something to go instead of nourishing their body with something they cooked from good products.
In my family lunch and dinner are sacred and the entire day is planned around it. My tummy is timed to the second getting hungry at 1pm and 7pm although it has gotten better as my days can be very irregular nowadays. My grandma is living with us who has been cooking for us since we were little therefore I am used to a freshly cooked meal everyday. This is very important to me and I hope I can keep it up when moving out very soon.
