Hello cutiepies, I am as happy as can be because I moved back to Düsseldorf last weekend. On my way there I stopped by in Frankfurt for a friend's house warming party. Before it started I had a few hours to discover the city and I have to say it is awesome.
I think Frankfurt is the only German city that has actual skyscrapers and oh how I missed them from the US and Hong Kong. Some people feel uncomfortable between tall buildings like these but I simply love everything about big cities. Having lived in a small town the past few months, I know what I'm talking about.
In Frankfurt you really get a little NYC vibe. The borough with all the bank buildings is even called "Mainhattan" - a mix of Main (the river going through Frankfurt) and, well, Manhattan. From the Main Tower that is more than 180m high you have an incredible view over the city.
I hope to be back soon to check out more of Frankfurt's night life, restaurant scene and shopping. If you have any tips, let me know! xxx
