Bonjour mes chéries! I had a wonderful weekend in Paris with one of my best friends. Isn't it great to have friends all over the world?
It was my fourth stay in the city of love but Paris never gets old. There are new things to discover every time and saying hi to the good old Eiffel Tower, Jardin des Tuileries and Arc de Triomphe is a must.
I experienced Paris from a local's perspective this time as my friend was looking for a new apartment. I thought Hong Kong was a disaster when it comes to living space and rental prices but Paris tops it! They offer you 9sqm apartments (toilet either next to your bed or in the hall) that are old and dirty for around 700 Euros. Excuse me! Locals say that's the price you pay for living in this amazing city but is it worth it? I'm not sure. I'm willing to sacrifice a lot for living in a exciting city but this seemed almost not humane.
As you can see in the pictures, weather wise we didn't get lucky. While Paris can be extremely hot in August, it was gloomy and cool last weekend. Good thing that I packed my cute Kenzo sweatshirt that I found on farfetch.com. Kenzo is known for it's witty, colorful sweaties and when I saw this one I knew I had to wear it in Paris.
I hope I didn't destroy your idea and dream of Paris with my little story. Paris is absolutely amazing for a visit but if you want to live there, you really have to love it with all your heart. If you do, it will all be worth it, so people told me who moved to Paris.
