Hi beauties, how are you doing? I am spending the most beautiful days up in the Swiss Alpes. It's been forever since I've been in the high mountains and it feels so good to be back. The atmosphere in a winter sport village is just so special and the routine very different from all other types of vacations. It's definitely not relaxing - at least physically. Honestly, dinner at 5 and bed at 7 would be fine with me;)
Our first day we had amazing sunshine and hiked up Schatzalp where author Thomas Mann wrote his famous book "Der Zauberberg" ("The Magic Mountain") taking place in a mountain clinic. Since the 19th century, Davos has been a place for sanatoriums where particularly patients with tuberculosis were treated. Ignoring the fact that they were sick, it must have been wonderful to spend several month in Davos, enjoying the views and soaking up the sun. For us, our trip was healing us well as we were really able to wind down from the stressful work week.
I was wearing a vintage fur I inherited from my grandma. It is really HUGE and I wasn't sure if I would ever wear it but in a winter sport village like Davos I thought I could pull it off. xx
