Brussels Shopping Weekend with THALYS

Hi loves, I am excited to share one beautiful experience I had this past spring, organized by THALYS and DEX MAGAZINE. I was invited to spend a shopping weekend in Europe's capital Brussels. How exciting!
We started out in Düsseldorf where we took the Thalys train that brought us to Brussels in less than 3 hours. On the way we enjoyed a comfortable breakfast served at our seats.
After we checked in to our Hotel located perfectly for shopping on one of the boutique streets, Rue Antoine Dansaert, we started our challenge. It was a little bit like in the TV show "Shopping Queen" because I only had a couple of hours time to find a matching outfit for our cover shoot the next a city I didn't know!

I definitely wanted to incorporate a Belgian designer or brand in my look, that's how we ended up at Essentiel and found the highlight of my outfit: The two-tone pleated midi skirt. Around  it I built a luxurious silk top and white sandals. Easy, you might think. But far from it! Finding something specific in an unknown city is not that simple. We were quite stressed out as it got later and later and still no shoes in sight, but we still managed to enjoy one of Belgium's famous waffles in between. Yum!

The next morning we stopped by at Brussel's famous sight, the Grand-Place, and strolled through the little shops (mostly chocolatiers!) at Les Galeries Royales Saint Hubert.
Brussels is definitely a great shopping destination because you have everything from small independend shops, high street labels as well as luxury brands. And hey, with Thalys it's only one short train ride away;)
